HOW OUR STORY BEGAN
Like most travelers, me and members of my family have had our own “not so pleasant” travel experiences…
Whether it is throwing out a bottle of lotion at TSA because it was too large, forgetting an electric toothbrush at the hotel, or even going down to the hotel lobby and buying a $3.00 deodorant that we forgot for $8.00, we have all had our own inconveniences while traveling.
We also have a family member who packs their own shampoo and conditioner as most hotels have lower-end products that do not work as well as her at home products. And not only is that something that we have to pack, but it is strategically placed in plastic bags to prevent leakage, takes up a ton of room in a suitcase that requires it be checked and adds significant weight that risks overweight baggage fees. Inconvenience after inconvenience that many travelers face each and every time they go on a trip.
Unfortunately, this was something we always assumed was just a part of travel that we had to deal with….

Starting in early 2023,
Each week at least one member of my family was making a business trip and we had to do a weekly check to make sure we had enough toothpaste, deodorant, razors, and more for our trips. When we didn’t, we had to make time to get to a local store to purchase the necessary items. Once fully stocked, we had to deal with cosmetic bags that we all travel with that take up significant room in carry-on bags or had to elect to check luggage and pay baggage fees. Enough was enough, so we began creating a solution to this widespread travel problem.
In the modern age of everyone wanting everything at their fingertips whether it is music, transportation, dinner reservations and more, we asked why is there not the ability to simplify travel and provide toiletries directly to everyone’s destination. But not just any products, we wanted access to brand name products that are found in households all over the country and give everyone that sense of comfort and home as they travel.
From this idea, Beyond Amenities was born!
